The National Paralympic Committee of Ghana (NPC-Ghana) has firmly denied allegations that a Ghanaian Paralympic team absconded during a trip to Oslo, Norway, calling the reports “false and maliciously misleading.”
NPC-Ghana clarified that individuals from the Ernestay Disability Foundation misrepresented themselves with forged documentation, falsely claiming association with NPC-Ghana and the defunct Ghana Amputee Football Association.
The committee has demanded retractions and apologies from media outlets that published inaccurate information, underscoring the need for rigorous verification in reporting on disability sports to uphold credibility and protect athletes.
