New Patriotic Party (NPP) member Eti Etuoso has launched a fierce critique of Rev. Isaac Owusu Bempah, claiming the preacher’s recent prophecy predicting former President John Dramani Mahama’s electoral victory is motivated by personal vendetta rather than divine inspiration.
In an interview on Angel FM, Etuoso challenged the credibility of the founder of the Glorious Word Power Ministries, asserting that the prophecy is a calculated act of revenge rooted in Owusu Bempah’s grievances against the ruling party after his arrest in 2021. “This is not a prophecy from God,” he declared. “It’s purely revenge; he’s using Mahama’s name to settle personal scores.”
Etuoso’s remarks escalated as he labeled Owusu Bempah a “fake” man of God, criticizing his so-called relevance as a mere facade supported by uncritical followers.
Despite attempts by the show’s host, Okatakyie Afrifa Mensah, to moderate the discussion and urge a more measured tone, Etuoso remained resolute, insisting on his right to express his views. “I will leave right now if you don’t let me speak the truth,” he responded heatedly.
Etuoso’s accusations trace back to Owusu Bempah’s controversial arrest in 2021 for allegedly threatening individuals and police officers while brandishing weapons during a dispute with a traditional priestess.
This incident sparked public debate about the accountability of religious figures. While Etuoso’s comments have reignited discussions regarding the pastor’s legitimacy, Owusu Bempah’s supporters continue to defend him, dismissing Etuoso’s claims as unfounded. In Etuoso’s view, true men of God do not exploit their faith for personal gain.
