Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia was speaking at a programme organized by a section of the party?s youth.

He averred that the NDC government has done so little to see the development of the youth and as well they have also been marginalized in the campaign for 2012 elections.

He said the youth will play a key role in the 2012 General Elections if the party will win the elections and must be brought on board as quickly as possible, stressing that every youth will be involved in the next couple of weeks when the party hit the country with the youth team on a national youth tour to discuss youth issues.

He?believes?that engaging the youth will create the momentum and to explain to the youth in the country that they are really going to do much better with the government of Nana Akufo-Addo and the NPP.

?We will be making a very persuasive case,? he said.

On his part, the party?s National Youth Organizer Anthony Karbo also assured that the NPP youth wing would bring young people?s concerns to the fore, saying that?the party considers education as key in the country?s development and has formulated policies that will ensure quality education for the country?s youth.

“The SHS policy that has been put up is the major policy step in terms of addressing one of the major concerns of young people in our country because a lot of people who do not have access and also affordability to educational facilities are within the youth”, he noted.
