The super delegates? congress of the New Patriotic Party in the Western Region has ended peaceful in all constituencies with Nana Akufo-Addo, last presidential candidate of the party, leading the provisional results. ]

wpid-NPP-Ghana-logo-300x194.gifThe Ghana News Agency?s tour of most of the Constituencies in the Sekondi/Takoradi Metropolis and other districts of the Region showed that the elections were conducted in a very peaceful manner, despite the late start of voting in some areas.

At the Bishop Essuah Memorial JHS, voting started on time with 535 delegates expected to cast their ballot.

Despite the seeming delay that resulted in a queue, the elections ended peacefully around three pm with 533 delegates voting in that area.

Mr. Francis Addai Nimo polled seven votes, Mr Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen had nine votes, and Nana Akufo-Addo secured as many as 516 votes, with one rejected ballot as certified by the Electoral Commission.

The elections in Sekondi saw the Regional Police Commander and his team taking charge of security. Here again, Nana Akufo Addo polled 294 votes, while Alan Kyerematen polled nine votes, with Addai Nimo getting two votes.

However, 46 delegates failed to cast their votes. In the Jomoro Constituency where Nana Addo polled 700 votes, Mr Addai Nimoh had two votes, and Allan Kyerematen, seven votes, with eight rejected ballots

At Daboase in the Wassa East district, voting started rather late. However, Nana Addo got 456, Allan 21, Addai nimoh five, with two rejected votes.
