Justin Frimpong Kodua, General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has criticized the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) and its presidential candidate, John Dramani Mahama, for delaying their manifesto presentation ahead of the 2024 elections.
Speaking at the NPP’s manifesto launch in Takoradi on August 18, Kodua suggested that the NDC might adopt the NPP’s policies as its own.
Kodua compared the situation to students caught unprepared for exams and relying on others who present first: “This is a crucial day for us.
We have set the standard by being the first to launch our manifesto. I wouldn’t be surprised if the NDC follows our lead.”
Kodua also lauded the NPP’s flagbearer, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, for his leadership and expressed confidence in his ability to lead Ghana to more significant achievements.
“I trust Dr Bawumia and believe he will be an excellent president for Ghana,” Kodua stated.
