Number of COVID-19 cases rises to 145 in Mozambique

The Ministry of Health of Mozambique said on Monday that the cumulative number of people infected by COVID-19 rose from 137 to 145 in the last 24 hours.

According to Public Health Director Rosa Marlene, the number of people having recovered from the disease rose from 44 to 46.

“Until today, 6,272 suspected cases have been cumulatively tested in Mozambique, of which 261 in the last 24 hours,” said Marlene.

The official added that the new cases are all of Mozambican nationality, with one presenting no symptoms and seven having mild symptoms.

“The cases reported today are in isolation at home. At this moment, the process of mapping their contacts is taking place,” said the official.

Currently the country has 145 positive cases registered in seven different regions, 121 of which are the results of local transmission and 24 are imported cases. Enditem
