Ghana’s WBO Africa Middleweight Champion Obodai Sai has promised to defend his title on Friday against Tanzania’s Ibrahim Tambo at the Trust Emporium aka Bukom Boxing Arena in Accra.
Sai who hails from James Town said he is very fit and ready to knock out his opponent by the sixth round.
Tambo who has also won many fights away from home said he has not come to Ghana as a tourist, by for the WBO Africa title
Baby Jet Promotions have lined up some interesting pairing as supporting bouts for the “Night Of Destiny” involving WBA International Lightweight Champion Emmanuel Tagoe against Mzonke Fana of South Africa.
Felix Williams, a Ghana based Nigeria boxer will face fellow Nigerian Taofik Bisuga for the WBF and WBL Featherweight Title.
USA based Nigerian world rated Cruiserweight boxer Olanrewaja Durodola will also fight against a very tough opponent on the bill.
Meanwhile special custom made gloves for the IBO title fight have landed in Ghana from Sandton, Johannesburg, South Africa.
Meanwhile the IBO has appointed Ghanaian referee Roger Barnor to handle the fight.
