According to Lamptey, countries that encourage such practice are doing exploits and so the country should similarly take it up.“The FA should ensure that past Black Stars players are not distant from the team. It is done in Europe and countries that encourage that are doing well,” he said in an exclusive interview on Happy FM.“The former players have been there before so they are always in a better position to advise the current ones when they face challenges the former ones have faced before.“Former players like Opoku Nti, Abedi Pele, Kofi Abbrey and others should be close to the team, I believe the Essiens and the current generation have much respect for them, in Europe, the old ones are always in a better position to advise the young ones,’ he  added.Lamptey, currently giving back to society by way of nurturing young soccer talents is one of the few players who have served all the national male soccer sides-Starlets, Satellites, Meteors and Black Stars from ’89 to ‘96.He is the CEO of  Glow Lamp Group of companies.
