Ofosu Appiah at the Skonto Stadium in Riga
Ghana defender Ofosu Appiabh has joined Latvian giants Skonto FC, GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.
The former Asante Kotoko player arrived in Latvia last week to sign a two-year-contract with the Riga-based club.
The 23-year-old signed as a free agent after cancelling his contract with South African club Jomo Cosmos late last year.
Appiah moved to Latvia despite intense interests from South African clubs; Orlando Pirates, Mamelodi Sundowns and SuperSport United on the back of an impressive debut season with Cosmos.
Skonto is the most successful club in Latvia haven won 15 top flight titles since their formation 22 years ago.
