Ordinarily, we would not have reacted to Chuks Ibegbu?s farce claims on the status of Ohazaeze Youth Council (OYC) in his article THE STATUS OF OHANAEZE NDIGBO YOUTH COUNCIL; TO PUT THE RECORDS STRAIGHT ( as published by the Nigerian Masterweb online media 23/4/2014) but for the obvious cases of misinformation and broken tongues of his and Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Wing (ONYW) who, he along with Mr. Okechukwu Isiguzoro, claim that the two organisations (ONYW and OYC) are one and under their leadership. This is a bogus claim, we must submit.wpid-nigeria-flag3.jpg

Be it said that Ohanaze Ndigbo Youth Wing is by the constitutional provision of the Constitution of Oha Na-Eze Ndi Igbo, which says: “Ohanaeze shall have wings made up of popular organs – Women, Youth, Transporters, Traders and any other wings as may be deemed necessary by Ime Obi (See Article 23, WINGS (POPULAR ORGANS), Section i.)? an appendage of the Ohanaeze Ndigbo. While Ohanaeze Youth Council is an independent command organ of the Igbo youths that compliments the good efforts of the Igbo leaders of thought including Ohanaeze Ndigbo (now in disarray) and other Pro-Igbo wellbeing organs.
A true juxtaposition making known the difference between Ohanaeze Youth Council could be seen from a press release issued on May 6th 2013 as published by Nigeria Mastwerweb Citizen News by the present Chainman, Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Wing Mr. Okechukwu Isiguzoro, along with two others condemning what they alleged to be hijacking of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Wing when he was usurping and running his charade (fake Ohanaeze Youth Council). Read and tell the difference:
?Press Release: Disclaimer on Groups Claiming to be Youth Wing of Ohanaeze
?Some misguided Youths have recently been going about claiming to be the Youth Wing of Ohanaeze Ndigbo and using the hallowed name of Ohanaeze in different forms to put up ?Advertorials and unauthorized information in the media. They use such names as Ohanaeze Youth Congress, Ohanaeze Youth Forum Etc. Let it be known by all Nigerians that such claimants are fake and dubious and should be disregarded or reported to the security agencies for impersonation and misrepresentation.

?There is only one youth wing of Ohanaeze Ndigbo which operates from No. 7 Park Avenue, GRA, Enugu. The Last President was late Hon Nnamdi Nwokocha (Carmel) and the last Secretary -General was Comrade Chuks Ibegbu, the well know Social Analysts and now the President of the World Igbo Leadership, Educational And Cultural Council (WILECC). Until an election is held to throw up a new executive body for the youth wing of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, comrade Ibegbu remains the BOT Chairman and custodian of the Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth ?Wing.

He is expected to officially hand over to a democratically elected Executive of the body.
?The security agents are advised to arrest and prosecute anybody claiming to be the leader of these fake organizations and also we advise the EFCC and the CAC to cancel any registration done with regards to these fake Ohanaeze outfits or wings.
Hon. Elvis Iwuajoku
Hon. Pat Anyanwu
Hon. Okey Isiguzoro?
Ohanaeze Youth Council?.

Having read and digested the afore cited Press Release by the Okechukwu Isiguzoros telling the difference between Ohanaeze Youth Council and Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Wing, join us ask: Why should Ohanaeze Youth Council and Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Wing be different before the emergence of the new Exco of the later and now become one and same after his election as erroneously argued by the Chuks Ibegbu and Isiguzoro Okechukwu leading to the present day infightings amongst Igbo Youths? This a hoax claims!

For, it is either P is P or P is not P; but saying that P is P and at the same not P is tautology in logic. That Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Wing is different from Ohanaeze Youth Council yesterday and today same is logically a fallacy of argumentum ad baculi for P cannot be P and at the same time be P. Therefore, the two organizations are not and never same except in the wishful thinking of the jobless youths who like the bees mills around Ohanaeze Ndi National Secretariat Enugu for political errands and jobbery!

We are surprise that Chuks Ibegbu just played on words without saying anything true about the status of the Ohanaeze Youth Council. He never disputed the teeming issues and posers raised in our Public statement he erroneously elated to counter. Chuks Ibegbu without any proof attributed the public statement of Ohanaeze Youth Council as being a write up by Mazi Okwu Okwu, our Project Expansion Emissary and Secretary BoT, OYC notwithstanding that it was duly and respectively signed by the President and Secretary, OYC Francis Oji and Uzochukwu Ebuka Uzochukwu along with Mazi Okwu Okwu. We advise him to sort out issues with Mazi Okwu Okwu, if at all had any, and not to misinform the reading public. Of course, both electronic, print and social media gave our public statement a befitting coverage!

While we commend Chuks Ibegbu for baring his mind despite his failed attempt to cook history of status for Ohanaeze Youth Council, we are of the opinion that he should respond to all vital issues and objections raised in our Public Statement SOS: INFIGHTINGS AMONG IGBO YOUTHS WHO USURPS OHANAEZE YOUTH COUNCIL ROLE AND LEADERSHIP IS EVIL AND DANGEROUS! ? OHANAEZE YOUTH COUNCIL, about the Charades he ran with the nascent president of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Wing Chief Okechukwu Isiguzoro who along with him erroneously usurps the status of Ohanaeze Youth Council.
First, we observe that instead of Chuks Ibegbu answering and/or responding to all vital issues and objections raised by OYC, he went on to cook story and deviously putted it into our mouth saying that ?we made him Chairman of the authentic Ohanaeze Youth Council?s Board of Trustees?. Instead of showing evidence of such, he went hoax saying he learnt about it through phone calls and visual Medias. Well, while we challenge him to mention who called and made him our B.O.T Chairman, which was initially held by Chilos Godsent, we also would like him to mention the visual media he learnt such from that we may along with concerned interests go fetching it and upload it on internet.

Categorically, we hereby state that nobody made Chuks Ibegbu Chairman of the BoT, Ohanaeze Youth Council. Rather, he was the one begging for attention, roles and inclusion in our one and only Ohanaeze Youth Council led by Prince Francis Oji. That Chuks Ibegbu is economical with the truth could be seen through his falsehood, claiming he read that we referred to him as our BoT Chairman in our so said Public Statement. This, of course, is another blatant lie. Nowhere in our Public Statement that we even for once mentioned Chuks Ibegbu as our BoT Chairman! We refer readers and followers to go to our Facebook group wall: Ohanaeze Youth Council or google our Public Statement ?SOS: INFIGHTINGS AMONG IGBO YOUTHS WHO USURPS OHANAEZE YOUTH COUNCIL ROLE AND LEADERSHIP IS EVIL AND DANGEROUS! ? OHANAEZE YOUTH COUNCIL especially those that missed its various media reports to read and see that Chuks Ibegbu is telling lies. This settles and clears the fogs created by the self-complacent Chuks Ibegbu ?The Ohanaeze Youth Council Historian? through his offensive and craftily weaved status of OYC intended to mislead the unsuspecting public from their naked dance while alleging that we begged him to join the popular Ohanaeze Youth Council respectively and ably led by President Francis Oji and his Secretary, Prince Uzochukwu Ebuka Uzuchukwu. Nobody made Chuks Ibegbu Chairman of BoT Ohanaeze Youth Council; we know him and his smokescreens antics always intended to curry undue favour and status! Meanwhile, Ohanaeze Youth Council is an organisation with ideological clarity and does and has never appoint/ elect people to duty post on visual media and/or through phone calls. We do that through appointment letter/oath of office with the NEC and House deciding,.

It will be pertinent to note here that the ongoing squabbles we have today among Igbo youths contesting mastery of Ohanaeze Youth leadership was/is created and being orchestrated by Chuks Ibegbu who kills with the spirits by night and goes to funeral with humans by the day. Another misleading argument by Chuks Ibaegbu could be seen in the paragraph two of his said write up: ?Though, I do not consider myself a Youth by age now, I remain a Youth at heart and will continue to have interest in Youth affairs since OYC was my home constituency from where I launched into other departments of life?. When did Chuks Ibegbu, realized that he was no longer a youth; yet elate to destabilizes the Igbo Youths and Ohanaeze Youth Council claiming not to let go, saying: ??..I remain a Youth at heart and will continue to have interest in Youth affairs since OYC was my home constituency from where I launched into other departments of life? ?

We grant Chuks Ibegbu his nascent wishful thinking but must also say that he is a good Igbo resource person who has just veered into indecorous politics. We appeal to him to remember his initial paths to resourcefulness. However, Chuks Ibegbu until March 1st, 2014 maintained good and robust relationships with the Francis Oji leadership of Ohanaeze Youth Council and even contributes his ideas on how to provide more youth action oriented leadership, which he even, at times helps us to accomplish.

To this angle, he was the one who called the attention of our President, Francis Oji and Secretary, BoT Mazi Okwu Okwu that the Igbo leaders especially Ohanaeze Ndigbo excluded the youths from Confab delegates lists and asked OYC to intervene. After dully conducted meeting/consultation he was asked to do a draft of our objection to gerontocracy and moneybag politics that cost the Igbo youths the chance of making the National Confab/delegates? lists and as well the nomination letter, arising out of our consultations. And email his draft for impute. It was then that Chuks Ibegbu went high wired and deviously backstabbed us. Claiming to be the ?outgoing Chairman of the Ohanaeze Youth Council?, he went on air and made submission to the presidency and Secretary to the Government of the Federation without getting back to us. Moreover, Chuks Ibegbu also sent the nomination letter?s content to us through text message via President Oji and Mazi Okwu Okwu that we may not see his self-given titles and signature and we quote:

Chuks Ibegbu (08035410176) : 01/03/2014 17:38hrs ?IGBO YTHS ND PRESSURE GRPS SUBMIT NAMES OF DELEGATES TO D NATIONALCONFERENCE? Igbo Youth and Pressure grps have lashed at d habit of d Old class of excluding them from vital national issues which would affect their future. They have therefore forwarded 6 names for the national conference. The names are. 1. Chuks Igbegbu ? Abia. 2. Mazi Oku Okwu ? Anambra. 3. Bright Ezeocha ? Imo. 4. DR Kenneth Nwankwo ? Ebonyi. 5. Bismark Orji ? Enugu. 6. Francis Oji – Ohanaeze Yth leader?

NOTEWORTHY: Observe that Chuks Ibegbu addresses the President, Ohanaeze Youth Council Prince Francis Oji as ?Ohanaeze Youth Leader?.
Chuks Ibegbu later forwarded the following message to both Mazi Okwu Okwu and President Francis Oji three days after telling you that he was playing pranks. Here is an email respectively sent to many and to us through Francis Oji and Mazi Okwu Okwu by Chuks Ibegbu:

NOTEWORTHY: We noted that he (CHUKS IBEGBU) on his own and without recourse to our agreement removed Igbo youth delegates nominees from Anioma and Rivers state. Observe that he invented Igbo Information Network (emphasis, ours) as a platform with one of his phone number and nameless. Also, observe that Chuks Ibegbu was the delegate nominated for Abia state and would have been at the Confab as Igbo youth had it not been for his greed. So when did it occurred to him that he was no longer a youth? More so, observe that he also included Prince Francis Oji, also from Abia state whom he addressed as Ohanaeze Youth President; and would not have made that list if not for the nomination base on his capacity as the authentic Ohanaeze youth leader since Chuks Ibegbu has taken Abia?s slot. Why then the broken tongues of his (Chuks) as no serene mind approbates and reprobates on one issue?
More worrisome, see Chuks Ibegbu rubbishing himself through another mail he circulated to Media but was not reported by any media where he claimed being the former secretary and out-going Chairman of Ohanaeze Youth Council sent two days after (March 3rd, 2014) usurping Francis Oji?s leadership of Ohanaeze Youth Council he earlier-on testified and acknowledged in above cited nominations and wondered what kind of a person Chuks Ibegbu is.

?The Former Secretary -General of the Ohanaeze Youth Council, Outgoing Ag. National Chairman of the body and President of the World Igbo leadership, Educational and Cultural Council, WILECC , Hon Chuks Ibegbu has warned against any discordant tunes from the Igbo Delegates to the National Confab.

?Hon Ibegbu re-iterated that the restructuring of Nigeria is germane to the peace and unity of the country and asserted that there must be no ‘no go area ‘in the confab including our existence as a nation.

?He advised any Igbo delegate that is not ready to defend the stand of Ndigbo at the conference and canvass for a nation where justice will prevail to withdraw voluntary now before the delegate is recalled. On the difference between the Ohanaeze Ndigbo and the Igbo leaders of thought which may affect the Igbo position at the conference, Hon Chuks Ibegbu warned that nobody no matter his status should work against Igbo interest at the confab and appealed to all Igbos to work together to ensure they achieve their goals at the confab. He also called on all other groups at the conference to come out with decisions that will impact positively on Nigeria.

?He acknowledged the impeccable wisdom of Prof . Ben Nwabueze and hoped this will be married with the Ohanaeze Ndigbo position to give Ndigbo the desired base at the confab.

?He hailed the quality of Igbos the Governor of Abia state Chief T A ORJI nominated for the Confab from Abia state and called on the other Igbo states and Ohanaeze Ndigbo to emulate that step so that the quality of Igbo Delegates will be impeccable.

Subsequently, when Chuks Ibegbu, self-proclaimed ?OHANAEZE CHIEFTAIN? could not get Media attention he reached out to us, apologized and asked for media hype in desperation of making Confab delegates lists. VANGUARD NEWSPAPER on March 27, 2014 / in News 4:07 am
?Ohanaeze Youth Council, OYC, has condemned exclusion of Igbo youths from the list of delegates to the National Conference, blaming it on unwillingness of spent Igbo elders to allow young elements play leadership role in the region.

?Rising from its National Executive Council meeting in Awka, Anambra State, the group said delegates, as they were currently constituted, lacked space for young dynamic minds that drive the jet-age, describing the entire process as anti-Igbo youths and, therefore, anti-posterity.
?While wondering if Igbo leaders that excluded the youths from the list were well guided, the group noted that amendment could be made as the Presidency had been effecting changes since the list came out.
?In a communiqu? issued at the end of the meeting, the group said that on realising that Igbo youths were excluded from the list, it held a meeting where the list of Igbo youths delegates nominees were drawn and submitted to the Presidency, Office of Secretary General of the Federation, SGF, and other concerned quarters for consideration.
?The communiqu?, signed by the president, Comrade Francis Oji, and Secretary, Mazi Okwu Okwu, read: ?It is noteworthy that this conference will be aggressively pursued by the ethnic nationalities that have come face-to-face with the Biafran question.
?Now the Igbo young elements that know the dynamics of the 21st century rules of engagements and its agitations are tactically excluded from the national delegates lists because of the adverse effects of gerontocracy and moneybag politics that are the two major social influenza killing today Igbo.
?More worrisome is that a look at the other five political zones in Nigeria shows young elements in active leadership capacity, especially in both elective and appointive posts. ?But in Igbo land, there is no room for the youths let alone holding charge. We have to make a departure from this.?
?It specifically stated that a look at the list showed that Yoruba people did a thorough search to their young elements with vision were allowed to complement the elderly ones.
?Pa Alex Ekwueme and Ben Nwabueze were repeatedly begged to lead Igbo delegates to the 2014 National Confab but they declined, saying age had caught up with them and that they had done so several times in the past, that latter generations of theirs, including the youths, should go and make their own mark and input. ?Yet greed for power, fame and money has seen Igbo youths left out of the 2014 National Confab,? the group lamented?.
It could be recalled that another Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Wing draftsman, Mr. Odozi Nwodozi, a distinguished (former) Student and Youth leader and social crusader while putting lies to the misinformation that it was President Goodluck Jonathan that ordered the arrests of Chilos Godsent and co while they tried to factionalise Ohanaeze Youth Council same day he came visiting for People Democratic Party Southeast Enugu rally made another history of Ohanaeze Youth Council status transiting from Ohanaeze Youth Council to Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Wing, ONYW(emphasis ours). Hear Nwodozi, while telling how the same Isiguzoro led ONYW emerged:

?The 12th January 2014 (error: not 2014 but 2013) Ohanaeze Ndigbo elections that ushered in the Gary Enwo-Igariwey administration, was undoubtedly bedevilled with lots of low points. But for the popular organs of the pan Igbo body (WOMEN AND YOUTH WINGS), it held high hopes. So when in February 2014, the President-General signified his intention to open up the space for a democratically elected youth and women structure, and the offices zoned to the seven component states of Abia, Anambra, Anioma(Delta) Ebonyi, Enugu, Imo, and Rivers. Modalities were rolled out.
?Dr ( Mrs) Celine Ugwuoke-Adibua was appointed to chair the Youth Election Committee while Sir OAU Onyema was to chair the Women Election Committee. It is pertinent to note that at this stage Ohanaeze Ndigbo also decided to rename the youth group ?Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Wing? instead of the former name ?Ohanaeze Youth Council?, so as to separate it from other fake and fraudulent groups? (See Nwodozi, Ohanaeze Youth; Of Presidential Arrest And The Gambit Of Fraudsters, 247 UReport online)?.
Assuming without conceding that Ohanaeze Youth Council has through the instrumentality of Ohanaeze Ndigbo transformed to ?Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Wing? instead of the former name ?Ohanaeze Youth Council?, so as to separate it from other fake and fraudulent groups?, why then is Chuks Ibegbu and Okechukwu Isiguzoro bent, laying claims to still leading Ohanaeze Youth Council instead of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Wing? Can ?P? be ?P? and at the same time not be ?P?? If it is true that Ohanaeze Ndigbo elated for Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Wing in line with Ohanaeze Ndigbo Constitution which says: “Ohanaeze shall have wings made up of popular organs – Women, Youth, Transporters, Traders and any other wings as may be deemed necessary by Ime Obi (See Article 23, WINGS (POPULAR ORGANS), Section i.)? why is Chuks Ibegbu still masquerading whereas Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Wing remains an appendage of the Ohanaeze Ndigbo and not same as the Igbo Youth independent command organ, Ohanaeze Youth Council?
More worrisome is the big chest warring antics against authentic Ohanaeze Youth Council led by Prince Francis Oji and the Chilos Godsent?s stillbirth faction of Ohanaeze Youth Council leading to the arrests and criminalization of Chilos and co. by Chuks Ibegbu, Okechukwu Isiguzoro?s and cohort and also threat to life of our BoT Secretary, Mazi Okwu Okwu by Okechukwu Isiguzoro pronouncing that his ?Security is not guaranteed in the whole of Southeast?. We warn that all this warring antics of the Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Wing is capable of throwing Igbo nation into youth restive war!
While Odozi Nwodozi seems to be telling the truth that they are leading Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Wing, he like the ONYW Chairman Okechukwu isiguzoro who have been arguing that no other youth group should use or add ?Ohanaeze? in their name and ideology, fallaciously submitted: ?The position of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Wing, just like every right thinking Igbo person is that the Chilos/Ofoelue group have the right of association as enshrined into the Nigerian constitution, but they should lend reverence to the name ?Ohanaeze? by deducting it from their name, since they don?t have any affiliation with the apex body?. This holds no water. We reiterate that Ohanaeze is Igbo nation?s political concept talking about marriage of Oha (Society) and Eze (Popular leader) for popular and ultimate good and is no one or group?s registered trademark. We cite that in Yoruba land that we have youths organising as Odua Peoples Congress, OPC, respectively led by two factional leaders namely Dr. Fredrick Fasehun and Otunba Gani Adams, Odua Liberation Movement, OLM, led by Dr. Femi Obayori, Odua Republic Congress, ORC; Odua Nationalist Coalition led by Wale Adeoye. Some of these Odua agitator organizations with host of others came under the umbrella of Coalition Of Odua Self-determination Group, COSEG led by Comrade Rasak Olokoba.
There is Arewa Consultative Forum Youth Wing and there is Arewa Youths independent Command organ Arewa Youths Consultative Forum led by Alhaji Yerima Shettima. There is Ijaw National Council, along with Ijaw Youth Council command organ complimenting one another. Why then this cadaverous dance by the Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Wing at the instance of current leaders of Ohanaeze ndigbo? We mean Igbo people that long embraced Democratic cultures and more republicans before the beginning of time and history?
We hereby state categorically:
i. That Igbo Youths like their counterparts across Nigeria has the inalienable natural and social rights to stand and operate independently with a command organ as Ohanaeze Youth Council dignifies.

ii. That Ohanaeze is not any person?s or body?s trademark.

iii. That Ohanaeze is a summation of Igbo political philosophy dealing on contract between Oha ? Sovereign and Eze ? Stately leader.

iv. That Ohanaeze Ndigbo is not an automatic union, not when Nigerian constitution okayed freedom of association.

v. It is therefore, silly making arguments tilting toward the conclusion that Ohanaeze Ndigbo is an automatic union that all Igbo and youths must submit to

vi. That the arrests, criminalization and prosecution of the Zulu Ofoelue, Chilos Godsent, Okey, George and Uchenna Nnaji by the police while they attempted to factionalise Ohanaeze Youth Council at Gold Value Hotel, Enugu, based on allegation by the members of the executive committee of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Wing led by Mr. Okechukwu Isiguzoro is an injustice to them and breach of their fundamental human rights, affront to Ohanaeze Youth Council as a whole and Igbo youths in entirety.
Conclusion: In view of the above, we have been able to prove cases of broken tongues of the Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Wing (ONYW) and nullity of their elusive claims that ONYW is same as Ohanaeze Youth Council. We advise that they should now keep their broken tongues in check and avoid the macabre dance nauseating their reputes and that of the Ohanaeze Ndigbo (as presently constituted) gearing them dancing naked to the market square. Igbo elders should not leave Ohanaeze Ndigbo to become certain people?s circle of friendship?s power grabbing gang politics it is fast becoming, day by day. It is for this loss of Ohanaeze ideology that Igbo leaders led by Prof. Ben Nwabueze?s and Dr. Alex Ekwueme?s opted for and used Igbo Leaders of Thought to organize Pre-confab and keep pushing Igbo Agenda at the ongoing National Confab with it.
The decision by the Igbo Leaders of Thought, to allow the nose-diving rein going on in the veil of Ohanaeze Ndigbo as reported by Daily Independent below is worrisome. It demands urgent interventions because ?Elders? they say, ?should not be at home while goat gives birth in tethers?. Read and digest:

Igbo Leaders of Thought led by renowned constitutional lawyer, Prof. Ben Nwabueze, on Thursday abandoned the leadership of Ohanaeze Ndigbo and set up a parallel structure to chart a course for Ndigbo in the proposed National Dialogue.
Contrary to the memorandum presented by Ohanaeze Ndigbo to the Femi Okoroumu?s Presidential Committee on National Dialogue, the Leaders of Thought said they were yet to come up with a position on the confab.
Nwabueze, who spoke with journalists after their meeting in Enugu on Thursday, said ?there is need to distinguish between Ohanaeze as umbrella body of Ndigbo acceptable to everybody and those claiming to be leaders of Ohanaeze today.?
He maintained that Ohanaeze has two factions, and they were trying at the meeting to resolve the differences.
Nwabueze disclosed that the Leaders of Though would make resolutions that Ndigbo are going to adopt for the national conference, adding that they have a paper that would be discussed at their next meeting on December 21.
?Ohanaeze is the umbrella organisation of Ndigbo that is acceptable to everybody?.
Whether the present people claiming to be leaders of Ohanaeze today represent Ohanaeze is a different thing.
?There are two factions of Ohanaeze and this meeting will try to resolve that. We will try to distinguish Ohanaeze as an institution that everybody accepts and the present leadership, the people claiming to be the leadership.
?What we did today is that we have appointed some committees. One is the Planning Committee under my chairmanship, with Professor Echeruo as Deputy Chairman and Professor Elo Amucheazi as Secretary.
?We have also set up a Fund Raising Committee with Obi of Onitsha as chairman and a number of other members?, Nwabueze said.
He said they had fruitful discussion but have not taken any position on what should be the legal framework of the national conference, saying ?unless the confab has a legal framework, it cannot stand or take off.
He advised the National Assembly and the Presidency, to pass the Referendum Bill before them into law, warning that if they refuse to pass it into law, or to pass into law without the key positions, the whole thing will not succeed.
?Nwabueze however described the clamour for Sovereign National Conference (SNC) as a contradiction, stressing that you cannot talk about sovereign conference when you have a sovereign government.
?There is no such thing. It can?t be. If it is sovereign it means that if the national assembly and presidency refuse to pass it into law, then there will be a show down between the people, the ultimate sovereign and the government and the outcome of that showdown will determine whether the conference will be sovereign? he said.
?Other Igbo leaders at the meeting include Dr Dozie Ikedife, Olisa Agbakoba (SN), Igwe Nnaemeka Achebe (Obi of Onitsha), Maria Okwor, Prof. Echeruo, Prof. Elo Amucheazi, Prof. Peter Ejiofor, Emeka Onyeso, traditional rulers and senior clerics. (see Daily Independent, independentngonline.com)?.
Finally, while we still respect Gary-Igary Enwe and Joe Nwarogu led Ohanaeze Ndigbo, not undermining the other Ohanaeze Ndigbo faction?s claims and litigations in Courts, we advise that Ohanaeze Ndigbo faction led by the duo should not allow themselves been tricked into food shards by the macabre masqueraders milling at Ohanaeze Ndigbo Secretariat Enugu dragging food to their disrepute. We make this appeal because all the activities and ghoulish dances of the ONYW seem to be receiving their support. We wondered why Ohanaeze Ndigbo led by the duo should send lawyer to represent her at the court case against Chilos, Ofoelue and others. It is ignoble doing so and taking side when they ought to mediate! Are they gearing infighting among Igbo youths? Igbo nation are watching to see where it will end.
