A militant group, known as Niger Delta Greenland Justice Mandate, said Tuesday its strike force blew up the oil facility early in the day.
The attacked facility was a major oil delivery line located in Ughelli north, about 150 kilometers to the Delta state capital, Asaba.
The militant group threatened more attacks, saying it plans to “ground the Nigerian oil economy”.
Other militant groups in Nigeria’s oil-rich region have ceased hostilities due to ongoing negotiations with government representatives, but the Niger Delta Greenland Justice Mandate said it would continue to fight and would not accept ceasefire.
Nigerian authorities are yet to react to the latest attack.
