The Black Meteors of Ghana, recorded an emphatic 4-0 victory over The Panthers of Gabon, in the first leg of the 2020 Olympic Games qualifier at the Accra Sports Stadium, on Saturday.
The match which was a prelude to the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) between the Black Stars of Ghana and Harambee Stars of Kenya, saw Kwabena Owusu opening the scores in the 24th minute.
The Meteors held on to the lead till the close of the half.
Substitute Bernard Terkpetey increased the tally in the 47th minute, with Osman Bukari recording a brace in the 75th and 90th minute of the game.
The outcome of the match, gives the Meteors a clear advantage to make it to the final qualifying stage in Egypt, later in the year.
The Meteors are scheduled to play the return leg on March 26, in Libreville, Gabon.
