South African giants Orlando Pirates are lining up a deal to sign Asante Kotoko defender Ahmed Adams according to local reports.
Pirates are said to be monitoring the 22-year-old who only joined Kotoko in the second half of last season.
Adams has distinguished himself since joining the Porcupine Warriors and is now regarded as one of their best players.
But Kotoko’s resolve is set to be tested with an offer of $135,000 from the Bucs.
“Tinkler needs competition at his centre back and Ahmed Adams has been is number one target since August,” a source told GazzettaGhana.
“He needs experience legs in his team and getting Adams will be a great addition but it will depend on Asante Kotoko whether to accept the offer or not.”
Adams will be joining fellow Ghanaian compatriot Edwin Gyimah once the move to Orlando Pirates is completed.
