Nana Kwame Tettey

The Royal Twidan family of Otebilkrom in Agona Swedru led by its head, Opanin Kwame Yeboah and Queen mother Nana Efua Adweboah, as well some kingmakers of the family last Thursday presented one Nana Kwame Tettey, a self-employed businessman to the Swedruman Council of Chiefs as the new chief of the area.

Nana Kwame TetteyHe succeeds Nana Atta Yeboah VI who passed away about five years ago.

Receiving the delegation, the Swedruhen, Ogidigram Asiedu Botwey II advised the family to perform all the one week customary rites as demanded by tradition before the new Chief is enstooled, which coincides with this year’s Annual Akwambo festival of the town which begins on Sunday Oct. 13.

When enstooled, Nana Kwame Tettey who becomes Nana Atta Yeboah VII will be the youngest Chief to have ascended the throne.
