Otiko Afisa Djaba
The approval of the minister-designate for Gender and Social Protection Otiko Afisah Djaba is in the balance as Parliament adjourns her approval to next week.
Madam Otiko who failed to do her national service as required by law is reported to have exhibited insolence when she appeared before the Appointments Committee of Parliament.
Asked if she would apologise to the former President John Dramani Mahama for describing him as “wicked” and “evil”, she retorted that she owed the former President Mahama no apology and that she was only exercising her freedom of speech.
Meanwhile, the President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is expected to swear in ministers who have been approved by Parliament at 6:pm on Friday at the Flagstaff House.
