The National Service Scheme (NSS) says it has deployed about 64,277 national service personnel including the second batch of placements of 10,388 personnel for the 2015/2016 service year.
The NSS made this known in a statement signed by Dr Michael Kpessa-Whyte, the Acting Executive Director of the NSS.
The statement said the personnel deployed will serve in modules such as Educational Support, Agribusiness, Urban Traffic Management, Urban Sanitation Management, and Community Health.
It said personnel will also serve in Rural Development, Private Sector Support and General Administration in the various Metropolitan and District Assemblies and other User Agencies in the country.
The statement said the NSS Management will not encourage change of postings and urged all prospective national service personnel to accept their placements, as part of their contributions towards building a prosperous nation.
It called on prospective national service personnel to log onto www.nss.gov.gh to check their placements and proceed to their region of posting and go through registration processes at the Scheme?s regional offices across the country before Tuesday, 25th August, 2015.
The statement said the 2015/2016 National Service will begin on September 1, 2015.
