A truck transporting Oba Spaghetti overturned early this morning on the Tema to Accra stretch of the Motorway near KICC, resulting in significant traffic congestion.
The Burkina Faso-registered vehicle spilt its load, obstructing one lane of the dual carriageway. According to Christian Atsu Tsikata, a reporter from Channel One TV, the incident occurred around 5:10 am, a typically quiet period for traffic on that route.
Mr Tsikata noted that clearing operations could exacerbate the situation throughout the day, particularly given the ongoing morning rain, which historically compounds traffic delays in the area. However, the caution exercised in these operations should provide a sense of security to the public.
Authorities are expected to face challenges in swiftly resolving the gridlock as efforts to remove the truck and the scattered goods proceed cautiously to minimize further disruptions.
