Pastor Maxwell Adubofourh Asiedu, the minister in-charge of the Yennyawoso District of The Church of Pentecost has asserted that Christians are carriers of peace, having in them Jesus Christ; the Prince of Peace.

“Since Jesus Christ, who is the Prince of Peace dwells in us, we are carriers of peace,” he stated.

Making this known in a sermon he delivered at the climax of the Yennyawoso District 2023 Christmas Convention on Sunday, December 24, 2023, at the Redemption Assembly auditorium, Pastor Adubofourh Asiedu stressed that as conveyors of peace, Christians have no option than to let peace prevail in their marriages, workplaces, families, homes, and every sphere of their lives.

The Yennyawoso District Minister explained that though peace is the absence of war, the presence of trouble, diseases, poverty, and others, do not bring peace. He, however, emphasised that when Jesus reigns in one’s life, the person shall have peace.

Taking the congregants through the Scriptures, the clergyman identified various princes, highlighting Jesus’ superiority over them all.

“Among all these princes, Jesus Christ is the true Prince of Peace and head over every ruler and authority,” he stressed.

On how Jesus brings peace, the man of God explained that Jesus does that through healing, intercession, shepherding, making believers one, preaching the Gospel, destroying the works of the devil, and assurance of His return to take believers to be with Him forever.

Pastor Maxwell Adubofourh Asiedu concluded his sermon with a passionate appeal to unbelievers to quickly open the door of their hearts and welcome Jesus Christ; the Prince of Peace, for them to be partakers of the divine peace.

As part of the service, children were dedicated, and widows were also feted with a half piece of wax print each, and an unspecified amount of money.

The 5-day event, which began on Wednesday, December 20, 2023, with a night of carol, was held under the theme: “Jesus Christ – The Prince of Peace Is Standing At the Door of Your Heart and Knocking – Open Him” (Isaiah 9:6; Revelation 3:20).

Present at the service included Mrs. Joana Amoakowaah Adubofourh Asiedu, (wife of the District Minister), among others.
