Tension is brewing between the Adevu family of Mepe Traditional Area in the North District of the Volta Region and Leader of the Magavor International Church located at Mepe-Degorme, Mr Clever Ladzaglah popularly known as Torledzo.

The development follows a report of an alleged killing of a three-year-old girl, Nuseli Adevu at the premises of the Magavor International Church.

The heartbreaking incident occurred on Sunday December 31, 2023 amidst fear and panic in Mepe and its adjoining communities.

Strangely, the little girl, Nuseli Adevu has been found killed in the personal white coloured vehicle with registration number GE 2077-14 belonging to Pastor Clever Ladzaglah which was packed at the church premises.

However, the police officers of Aveyime District Command of the Ghana Police Service in the North District of the Volta Region have invited Pastor Clever Ladzaglah who is currently helping the police in the investigations to unravel the truth of the matter.

In this sense, the police were said to have made the young pastor to write his caution statement, but the Adevu family members were in suspicion that the young pastor could know something about the murder of the little girl.

The mother of the deceased Madam Edinam Adevu, this news outlet gathered is a member of the church and that her daughter, Nuseli Adevu followed her to the church on Sunday December 31, 2023 where she met her untimely death in the pastor’s car at the Church.

Narrating the story in an interview with the journalists, mother of the deceased, Madam Edinam Adevu noted that when they went to the church on Sunday, the daughter was sent to the Sunday School section of the church whilst she went to the adult section.

She noted that after the service, she couldn’t find her daughter even after several search in and around the church premises.

According to Edinam Adevu, she rushed home to look for her child thinking she might be at home but she was not at home either.

Suspecting that her daughter should have followed their colleagues to the Degorme township, she moved to the area to conduct a search but still couldn’t find her.

She narrated that “I blew an alarm over my missing daughter which attracted intensive search of the little girl in the church premises.”

According to her she returned to the premises of the church and was advised that she should go to the Mepe township to make an official announcement at the Information Centre and on her way to Mepe township, she received a distress call from the church to return to the church, and she complied.

She noted that when she gone back to the church, she was told that the pastor offered prayers over the issue and that he (the pastor) confirmed to the members that, it was revealed to him by God that the girl would be in his private car parked at the premises of the church.

Interestingly, Madam Edinam Adevu indicated that they rushed to the car following the pastor’s revelation/vision and when they opened the car her daughter was sleeping in the said car.

According to her, when she got into the car to the pickup her daughter, she discovered that the blood was oozing from her mouth and nose.

She maintained that when she carried her child out from the car, she also found out that her daughter was unconscious and told the people around that “my daughter is dead.”

“And quickly some people at the premises rushed her to the church room and started praying for her but to no avail,” she lamented.

“I have noticed that my daughter completely gave up the ghost before they were carrying out those prayers wanting to resurrect her. I quickly called my grandmother at home from the Mepe township and reported the matter to her. From there my grandmother also informed her close associates and other family members who rushed to the church and subsequently informed the police who came for the body and deposited into at the Battor Catholic Hospital mortuary,” she told journalist.

Interestingly, the Aveyime Police Commander, Superintendent George Aboagye has been tight-lipped on the matter and unwilling to give any information about issue.

The senior police officer when contacted, shouted on the journalist by saying in an angry tone that; “l am not in position to give you any information about the matter. If you have claimed that you are a journalist, then come to scene of the incident to report on the matter.”
