Rebecca Naa Okaikor Akufo-Addo, the wife of the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Nana Akufo-Addo, has implored the electorate to ignore the lies and propaganda about her husband who intends to develop the country.
According to her, Nana Addo has plans to fulfill all promises he has made to the people during his campaign tour so as to save Ghanaians from misery.
She urged the electorate to vote massively for Nana Addo and the NPP to develop Ghana.
Mrs. Akufo-Addo made the remarks in the Ashaiman Constituency during her campaign tour of the Greater Accra Region.
“This election is about getting out of the pain you have suffered for eight years. It is about putting a bitter past behind us and embracing a future of hope and prosperity with a government that knows what it is doing; one that will fix the economy, create jobs, better quality healthcare and education for our people,” she noted.
Mrs. Akufo-Addo also visited some lorry stations in the constituency and asked the drivers to give Nana Addo the chance to steer the affairs of the country.
She said the implementation of the one-district one-factory and the one constituency one million dollars policies would create jobs for the youth.
The wife of the leader of NPP also met members of the Dagme For Change Movement, and the Dagme community in Ashaiman and called on them to consider the current hardships imposed on the people as a result of the mismanagement of the economy, high taxes, prolonged power crisis, high utility tariffs.
She noted that the current NPP is determined to improve healthcare, lower taxes and create a better economic environment for businesses to thrive, adding that “the NPP believes businesses like yours should have access to MASLOC loans and other low interest loans to help you improve your lives and that of your families. NPP MASLOC loans will not be given to only party members but Ghanaians.”
On his part, the parliamentary candidate of the NPP in the Ashaiman constituency, Alhaji Labaran Yakubu Barry, promised the leadership of the party that the constituents in Ashaiman would massively vote for the party to emerge victorious in the upcoming general elections.
According to him, the NDC government has failed to address the numerous problems confronting the people of Ashaiman.
Alhaji Barry said the NPP has been working tirelessly to take over the seat from the NDC who have lost touch with the people of Ashaiman.
He assured the people of Ashaiman that the next NPP administration, led by Nana Addo, would ensure effective development of the country.
He explained that all policies outlined by Nana Akufo-Addo would be implemented to improve the living conditions of the people.
