Leaders of PDP in Omu-Aran, Irepodun Local Government Area of Kwara, have resolved to close ranks and channel resources to ensure the party?s victory at the polls.

They made the resolution at the end of their congress held in Isapa and reception of some members of APC who defected to PDP on Sunday.

A stalwart of the party, Mr Bashir Oni, urged members to remain steadfast and committed.

He urged them not to be intimidated by threat from the opposition but to remain steadfast and dedicated to realising the party?s aims and objectives.

Bashir, Chairman, Board of the Federal Medical Centre, Owo, said the only sacrifice needed by the party at this critical period was for its supporters to remain loyal and selfless.

“We should all work together, speak with one voice and sacrifice where necessary to ensure victory for our party in the forthcoming general elections.

Mr Sunday Abegunde, APC Youth Leader in Omu-Aran Ward 1, who led the defectors, said their belief in PDP?s ability to impact positively on the peoples? life informed the action.

“I, as APC youth leader in Omu-Aran Ward 1, with my secretary, Vice-Chairman and other members here, pledge our unalloyed support to the PDP.

“Our belief in the party?s ability to ensure better living for our people, the state and the country at large, necessitated our action?, Abegunde said.
