Pension Staff to Be Screeened For Efficient Service Delivery

The Osun Government said on Saturday it had begun the screening of all categories of staff at the pension office to ensure efficient service delivery.
The state?s Head of Service (HOS), Sunday Owoeye, announced?this at a news conference on the activities lined up for the state Civil Service Week slated to?begin on Monday.
The week-long programme is?expected to end on Sunday with a thanksgiving service at Christ Power Evangelistic Crusade International, Osogbo.
The Head of Service expressed?concern that retired civil servants had, one time or the other,?gone through a lot of stress before they could access their legitimate entitlements.
He said?that?to ensure a hitch-free, efficient and effective service delivery, the state pension office was being re-organised so that pensioners would now smile.
According to him, retired civil servants should normally enjoy and not suffer after giving their best to the service of the state hence sanity must prevail in the system.
?We want to ensure that the officers in charge of the pension office are decent people who will do decent job to please the pensioners at all times,? he added. ?
Owoeye, who expressed satisfaction with the?current crop of civil servants in the state for their efficiency, thanked Gov. Rauf Aregbesola for creating the enabling environment for workers.
He promised to work out more?packages for civil servants, including training and loan facilities, to enhance their performance.
