The fifth edition of the esteemed “Play with Stephen” golf tournament was officially launched today at the CFAO Mercedes-Benz showroom, marking the beginning of preparations for an event to raise awareness and support for the Autism community.
The tournament, scheduled for August 23 to August 25 at the Achimota Golf Course, is a collaborative effort between CFAO Mobility and the Play with Steve Foundation.
Stephen Onaivi founded the foundation and focuses on uniting individuals through golf to advocate for Autism awareness and community support.
Speaking passionately about the initiative, Stephen Onaivi emphasized the importance of educating Africans about Autism, citing the need for greater awareness and understanding across the continent.
“The project is about giving back to the community and raising awareness about autism, which is often misunderstood.
My ambition is to ensure that every African understands what autism is all about,” Onaivi stated.
Damola Adelabu, Managing Director for CFAO Mobility Ghana, expressed the company’s commitment to corporate social responsibility and sustainable development goals.
He highlighted the tournament as a noble platform to promote health and wellness while supporting initiatives dedicated to Autism awareness.
This year’s tournament is set to attract over 100 golfers from across the continent, including industry experts and leaders from various fields.
The event promises to blend competitive golfing with a meaningful cause, fostering solidarity and support within the community.
