Three suspects have been apprehended by police in Kasoa, Central Region, for their alleged involvement in the theft of a baby.

The suspects are accused of deceiving the mother, feigning the baby’s death, and relocating her to another location.

Magdalene Nana Adwoa Boafo, 28, Faustina Binney, 32, and Eunice Koomson, a 36-year-old teacher, are currently in custody, united with the Kasoa Domestic Violence and Victims Support Unit in the investigation. This collective effort is a testament to the community’s commitment to justice.

According to reports, the prime suspect, Nana Adwoa Boafo, befriended the pregnant mother and later orchestrated the theft with the assistance of the other suspects. They allegedly misled the mother into believing her baby needed medical attention at a hospital, where they claimed the child died and was buried, a series of events that would have been incredibly distressing for the mother.

Authorities acted on suspicions raised by the victim’s landlord, demonstrating the crucial role of community vigilance in such cases. This led to the arrests of DSP Doris Laryea of Kasoa DOVVSU and others involved in the case.

The victim, 29-year-old Abigail Addison, was left traumatized by the incident. She is now seeking justice against the suspects for their alleged crime, a process that will undoubtedly be challenging and emotionally taxing.
