Emmanuel Oboo, a police constable, killed his superior George Orukan, who has been the in-charge of Arapai Ginnery police post.

Police spokesperson Juma Hassan Nyene says the deadly incident happened at about 10pm local time Sunday.

He said the killer cop returned from a nearby drinking joint where he had engaged in a fight with a group of people there.

It is understood that Oboo then went straight to his house but minutes later one of the people he had fought with reported the case at the police post.

When he was summoned, Oboo emerged out of his house with a firearm and shot at his boss, who reportedly succumbed to gunshot wounds.

The man who had reported him got hurt during the shooting, and is currently admitted at Soroti Referral Hospital, Nyene told New Vision.

Local police say the killer police officer is still at large.
