The Police Command in Adamawa state has commended the politicians in the state for sticking to the rule of the game.
The state commissioner of police said that politicians in Adamawa State have displaced maturity and peaceful manner in which they conducted themselves toward the forthcoming polls.
The commissioner said that the politicking going on in the State worth to be emulated by other politicians for stability of the country.
The state Commissioner of Police, Mr Gabriel Adaji, who made the commendation on Monday in Yola while addressing a meeting with political party officials said that they should keep up with the way the operate so that peace will keep on reigning in the state after the general polls..
” As far as I am concern politicians in Adamawa are neat. Maintain that neatness.”, Adaji said.
Adaji explained that since he assumption duty in Adamawa three months ago, he had no cause to fight any politician or political party for flouting the law.
He said so farther there was no problem of thuggery or political clash in the state, adding that the tempo needed to be maintain throughout the campaign and election period.
The commissioner tasked politicians to enlighten their supporters on proper conduct during and after the campaigns and elections, warning that anyone or political party found wanting would face the wrath of the law.
In their respective remarks, representatives of political parties at the meeting lauded the conduct of the police and urged it to continue to maintain neutrality.
