Prophet Dr. Francis Kwadwo Owusu, Founder of the Annoiting Prayer and Evangelistic Ministry, Tema, has urged leadership of religious bodies to use the pulpit to disseminate the message of peace and unity.
He said it was important for religious leaders to preach peace and hope as the country experienced economic hardship.
The Prophet, who is also the General Overseer, in a sermon said Christians had the responsibility to strengthen the nation’s sense of civic duty and contribute to the battle against corruption and help grow the local economy.
“We have no other nation but Ghana so please let us protect it. Let us continue to live in peace and unity as one people with a common destiny,” he stressed.
Dr Owusu said God had blessed the country and that what was needed was peaceful coexistence and patriotism.
He said it was time the Church nurtured patriotic leaders and led the congregation to intercede for the nation.
