Actor Prince David Osei has strongly urged personnel of Ghana’s security agencies to vote for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the upcoming 2024 elections, citing the government’s support in enhancing the capabilities of security forces.
In a post shared on social media, Prince David Osei commended the NPP government for its efforts in equipping and improving the security services. He noted that the current administration has provided better equipment, training, technology, and facilities to the security agencies, thus boosting their efficiency and effectiveness.
“As we prepare for the special upcoming voting day on Monday, I urge you to carefully consider the progress and support the NPP government has provided for you in the security forces,” Osei said. He emphasized the importance of making informed decisions at the polls, warning that a wrong choice could undo the progress made. Osei also referenced the threats made by some individuals to harm and dismiss members of the security forces should they come into power.
In his statement, Osei reminded security personnel of the crucial role they play in ensuring the safety and security of the nation. He encouraged them to protect their profession and the advancements they have made by making the right choice at the polls. He further cautioned security officers to recall the threats made about dismissing recruits from 2017-2024, claiming that these statements could negatively impact their careers.
He concluded his message with a call for security personnel to stay vigilant and informed in their decision-making.
