Mr T. O. Oppong Kyei, Immediate Past Secretary of Jaman South District branch of PWDs who is also the Deputy Coordinator of NADMO in-charge of Disasters, received the money on behalf of the 51 beneficiaries across the district.
He expressed appreciation to Madam Dora Ama Tamea, Jaman South District Chief Executive for her response to their plight and wished her long life, prosperity and divine favour.
The citizenry in the district have commended her for being the first woman DCE for the area, and for embarking on diverse interventions geared towards giving virtually every community within her catchment area a face lift.
Whilst urging her and her subordinates not to rest on their oars, but to forge ahead courageously, they also called on stakeholders to support her administration in order to maintain the confidence reposed in her and the team of development partners.
These were some of the sentiments expressed at the Second Ordinary Meeting of the Assembly.
Madam Tamea was the former Assembly Woman for Faaman/Boadwo Electoral Area before her appointment as DCE.

Some leading members of the assembly appealed to government to appoint subsequent DCEs from the assembly caucus, since Madam Tamea has already set the pace.
Madam Tamea speaking to the GNA said she endorsed the fact that DCEs should be appointed from the assembly since they understood the terrain better and were more abreast with the decentralization process, with particular reference to issues pertaining to their respective districts, municipalities or metropolis.
She craved the indulgence of women to participate actively in decision-making, most especially during the forthcoming district level elections to increase the numerical strength of women in the assemblies.
