PZ Cussons Ghana Limited on Wednesday donated a quantity of its products worth Ghc30, 000 to the Ghana Health Service (GHS).
The items included Cusson?s range of products such as Camel Antiseptic Liquid, Multi-surface cleaner and Carex handwash. Others were baby oils and lotions, which were donated to the Reproductive and Child Health Department of the Ghana Health Service to assist the newly born.
The presentation was made by Mr. David Afful, Business Unit Director of PZ Cussons, who said it formed part of the company?s corporate social responsibility in support of efforts to combat cholera, adding that, the company was glad to be a part of the campaign.
Receiving the items on behalf of the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital, Mustapha Salifu, Head of Public Relations, expressed gratitude to the company and said the items would be used effectively to maintain healthiness in the hospital.
Ms. Emma Sakyibea Ansah, Health Service Administrator, who received the items on behalf of the Ridge Hospital, commended the company for the laudable endeavor. She said the items would be sent to the hospital?s OPD Department at Adabraka where cholera cases were been handled.
Dr. Gloria Quansah Asare, Deputy Director General (GHS) received the items on behalf of the Reproductive and Health Care Department of the GHS and thanked PZ Cussons for assisting the service.
Present at the ceremony were Mrs. Elizabeth Noah, Deputy Director of Nursing Services, in charge of the Central OPD Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital and Dr. Issabella Sagoe-Moses, National Child Health Coordinator, GHS, and staff of PZ Cussons.
