Ex-Ghana International Rahim Ayew yesterday appended his signature to a two-year contract with Accra Hearts of Oak for a reported fee of ?40,000, DAILY GUIDE SPORTS can confirm.
The ceremony was conducted after his training with the Rainbow family yesterday; but his shirt number was not available at press time.
The former SK Lierse strong man completed a successful medical test conducted at the Ridge Hospital in Accra by Dr Bulle yesterday.
His move, an attempt to relaunch his career after stints in the Egyptian and Belgian leagues, was embroiled in a lot of talk between himself and his employers.
Rahim, 25, after training with Hearts for the past few weeks, agreed to join the 2000 continental champions for no financial reward as signing on fee.
He, however, together with his manager, returned to his prospective employers demanding a fee before putting pen to paper.
And that resulted in the long talk which roped in his father Abedi Ayew Pele to add his voice before an agreement was reached.
In a related development, former Medeama SC midfielder, Samson Cudjoe has passed his medical and is expected to sign a three-year deal for the Phobians.
