Residents of Community 18; Spintex Road and its neighbours got stuck in their houses during this dawn’s rains.
The rains, which started on Thursday, May 10, at about 22:00 hours continued till the early hours of Friday May 11.
With most residents stuck in their homes due to flooding the major roads were less busy compared to the normal days.
A hairdresser, who only gave her name as Mother, speaking to the Ghana News Agency (GNA), said, despite the flooding in some areas the rains has made the weather cooler adding that the heat wave during the past few months had been unbearable.
She however, appealed to the authorities to fix roads in the communities and make them motorable.
Maame Odoley, a petty trader in the Area said, market would be slowed down during the season as people may not want to shop in the rains.
Madam Mamunatu Salifu lamented that she runs at a loss whenever it rains because the nature of the roads would prevent residents from coming out to patronize her porridge and beans cake.
She therefore called for immediate tarring of the roads to encourage her customers to buy from her, especially, during the rainy season.
