Real Madrid has suffered another significant injury setback as Vinicius Jr is likely to be out of action for several weeks with a hamstring injury.
The winger had to leave Brazil’s 2-1 defeat to Colombia midway through the first half after suffering a bad challenge from home defender, Davinson Sanchez and it appears he has suffered a relapse of an injury that sidelined him for a month earlier this season.
“I think it is the same injury that I suffered last time. I got a knock and I felt the problem a bit later. We will carry out tests tomorrow (Friday) to see how I am,” said the winger.
Vinicius’ injury comes on the same day when it was confirmed that midfielder Eduardo Camavinga will be out of action for at least two months after suffering a “torn lateral collateral ligament in his left knee,” which means he won’t play again in 2023 and is also a doubt for the Spanish Supercup, to be played in Saudi Arabia in January 2024.
