In an interview with Bang Radio in the UK, the main topic of discussion was the many bad remarks and controversies concerning Shatta Wale as an artiste. Radio MC Shopsydoo even made mention of the fact that whenever you Google Shatta Wale , all you see is the many negative stories written about the Ghanaian Dance hall artiste.
Does he really deserve all those negative remarks? We don?t really think so, and that?s why we?ve compiled 10 very reasons why Shatta Wale doesn?t deserve such remarks from bloggers and the many media men out there..
This would really surprise you, but within the chest of Shatta Wale, is a very humble fellow. You might see him a couple of times on video bragging, but it?s what lies within that really counts. I?ve had the chance to meet him personally a couple of times, and he?s different from what me mostly hear about him. The first time i met him, he rather called me so we could take a photo together. I honestly thought he would flex me, and so didn?t want to ask for a photo, but the ?Dancehall King? hugged me and we ended up taking numerous photos. He forgot he was a star at that moment. That?s something small many artistes in Ghana would never do.
Dancehall was never a well recognized music genre until Shatta Wale stepped into the scene. With the help of Stonebwoy who was also doing dancehall, Kaakie and few other artistes, they managed to draw more attention to the genre. Dancehall even surpassed hip-hop in Ghana.
Before Shatta Wale made it back big time into the Ghanaian music scene, he never had radio airplay, until his numerous fans on social media started demanding for airplay, forcing them to give fans what they needed. The guy rose by himself and fans, so if you didn?t help make him who he is right now, why tarnish the image, now that he?s so big? He really didn?t need the numerous music downloading websites out there to push his tracks for him, as Facebook was his best companion. Fans would rather download his music right from his fan-page.
We should rather be glad to have someone with the personality Shatta Wale possesses. At least he speaks for the people, and even other musicians. Before Shatta Wale, many artistes out there were still taking coins from event organizers, until he drew peoples? eyebrows to the situation, and fought for high performance fees. R2Bees tried this, but Shatta Wale rather never gave up, and with severe persistence he opened peoples? eyes to what was really happening in the industry. He broadened the scope of other musicians, and focused on writing songs people could relate to, and talked about other things apart from the normal love songs we always hear from many Ghanaian artistes out there. No wonder he has many fans. The youth of today are really able to relate to Shatta since he?s been through it all.
lf the many media men out there think writing many bad reports about Shatta Wale would destroy his career, then it?s a big liar. As for Shatta Wale, every publicity is publicity, and he sees such stories as money in the making. It?s stuff like this that keeps him relevant, because if he wasn?t relevant in the first place, who would waste his or her time to write an article about him? Nobody! So if you?re out there and you think you can burst his tyres by writing false stories, according to him that?s what gets him the phone calls and exposure.
