APGA faction on reconciliation tour

Chief Maxi Okwu, the factional National Chairman of APGA, said on Sunday that the party had embarked on a national reconciliation tour ahead of the 2015 general elections. He said in Abuja shortly after meeting with stakeholders of the party from the FCT that the programme was evolved by the new leadership of the party to address the grievances of members.

He said the programme was aimed at bringing back aggrieved members to work for the success of the party in future elections.

?We, the National Working Committee, will consult widely with traditional rulers, religious leaders, various youth and women groups, as well as foundation members, aspirants and other stakeholders during this road map,” Okwu said.

He said the team  met with  Eze Igbo I of Abuja, Dr Nwosu Ibe, supported by three of his FCT cabinet members and party members in the area, on Saturday as a mark of respect and to launch the campaign.

The other traditional rulers in attendance were the Ochi Igbo of Gwagwalada, Eze George Okeke; Ochi Igbo of Lugbe, Eze Jerome Nwagbara, and the Ochi Igbo of Kuje, Eze David Okoro, he said.
