wpid-inflation.jpgThe rate of Inflation for the month of February went up to 14 per cent from the initial figure of 13.8 percent in January.

This represents a marginal increase from the previous month’s figure . The? rate is the ?highest? since march 2010.

However the monthly change? rate? for February was 1.1? percent against? the 3.9 percent? recorded in?January.

On the regional level, the Ashanti region recorded the highest inflation rate of? 16.7 percent.

Speaking to? JOYBUSINESS? Head of economic statistics, Edward?? Asuo – Afram? attributed the increase?in inflation to the increase?transport fares, utility tariffs and petroleum? products
