Red Bull Salzburg Hunt For A Replacement For Injured Isaac Vorsah

By Ameenu Shardow

Red Bull Sazlburg will be delving into the transfer market to find a replacement for injured Ghanaian defender Isaac Vorsah.

The Ghana international will be out with a long term injury after after seriously hurting his knee while in action for his club.

Vorsah ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee and collateral ligament during last Tuesday?s Austrian Cup semi-final defeat to FC Traun.

The centre-back underwent successful operation on Friday and doctors have confirmed the lanky player will need six months to recover.

His injury has now left a big vacancy in the Salzburg defence and coach Roger Schmidt now reveals the club will be looking for a replacement.

?With Vorsah out we now have a new situation,? Schmidt said.

?We need to rethink everything in. We will need to look carefully and bring a player who also can really help the club.?

Red Bull have qualified for next season?s UEFA Champions League ? making Vorsah?s replacement even more imperative to help the side?s campaign early next season.

The injury also rules the center-half out of Ghana?s crucial 2014 World Cup qualifiers against Sudan, Lesotho and Zambia.
