Manager Remi Garde will have a showdown talk with Jordan Ayew after his disgraceful red card condemn Aston Villa to a 2-0 defeat at West Ham United.
The 24-year-old left his struggling side in the lurch when he was dismissed for a vicious elbow into the face of Aaron Cresswell after just 17 minutes.
The Ghana striker has received a lot of backlash following the incident but manager Remi Garde has refused to condemn the player publicly.
“I will only answer one question on Jordan. It will remain private between him and me.
“I’m not going to speak any more about this incident. I don’t need to express any more of my feelings. You can guess Jordan’s feelings.
“We have just played 90 minutes of football and I’d like to talk just about the game. Everything that happens in the dressing room of a professional football team should stay there as much as possible.”
Rémi Garde post-match: It will remain private what I say to Jordan Ayew. I will speak to him. #WHUAVL #AVFC
