The Reverend Samuel Kwasi Frimpong, Oforikrom District Minister of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, has asked Christians to renew their faith and trust in God as they joined the rest of the world to celebrate the birth of Christ.
They should be unwavering in the face of life challenges and remain confident about the future.
He also asked them to be wary of false Bible teachings.
The Rev Frimpong was delivering the sermon at a Christmas service held at Oforikrom in Kumasi.
He admonished Christians to use the occasion of Christ’s birth to reconcile with God and their neighbours.
He encouraged them to stay peaceful and to make merry to symbolize the birth of the Messiah.
He reminded all to accept to share what they had with the poor and the needy in society.
“We have an obligation as Christians to make the season worth its celebration. Do not celebrate without having a purpose in mind.”
One of the main highlights of the celebration was the baptism of seven members of the church.
The Rev Frimpong appealed to all the members to make sure that they were baptized to affirm their faith in God and commitment to the Church.
