The Republic Bank has donated Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) worth GH¢10,150.00 to the Sefwi- Waiwso government hospital in the Western North Region to support the fight against COVID-19 in the Region.
The items included, 50 pieces of face masks, five gallons each of alcohol based hand sanitizers, detergents, two pieces of infrared gun thermometers, one box of surgical gloves, dozens of tissue papers and handwashing stations.
Presenting the items, Mr Abdul-Jaana Atchulo Western Zonal Manager, said the fight against COVID-19 was not the sole responsibility of government nor health workers but all humanity, hence, the Bank’s decision to support the region in the fight against the pandemic.
Nana Ntim Agyei, Administrator of the Waiwso government hospital, commended the Bank for the gesture lauded it for consulting the facility to know its needs before the donation.
He reminded Ghanaians to continue to adhere to the World Health Organization safety protocols, which included regular washing of hands with soap under running water, regular use of alcohol based hand sanitizers and observing social distancing.
