Over 300 angry National Democratic Congress (NDC) youth in the Lower Manya Krobo Municipal Assembly in the Eastern Region are demanding the immediate dismissal of the Municipal Chief Executive, Isaac Agbo Tetteh.

The irate youth holding several placards with inscriptions: ?Agbo u are corrupt,? ?Agbo stop arresting market women,? ?Agbo ur performance is poor,? ?Mahama, sack Agbo,? on Thursday, chanted war songs during a demonstration to register their protest against the MCE.

They called for his dismissal with immediate effect, because, according to them, he had done nothing for the assembly.

They have therefore vowed to vote against the NDC and Mahama in 2016 if Agbo was not dismissed.

The NDC branch executives, who could not be controlled by the security personnel, told DAILY GUIDE that the MCE had overstayed his tenure and so needed to be replaced.

The executives said the MCE was expected to have left office in May last year but had, with the connivance of some NDC top notches, extended his tenure and not allowed the newly-elected assembly members to be inaugurated.

The spokesperson, Lukman Umar Adams, who read a petition, said, ?The MCE has been arresting market women without any reasons,? stressing that he ordered his ?machomen? to kidnap the Agormanya NDC branch chairman because the latter held a press conference against him.

?Agbo only goes to radio stations to insult our leaders without doing any work at the office. We are giving him two weeks to leave. Failure to do so we shall go back to the streets,? Adams added.

The Municipal Coordinating Director, John Kofi Adomako, assured the demonstrators that the petition would be sent to the appropriate authorities.
