Eleven people have been confirmed dead in a road accident that happened in southwest Nigeria’s Ogun state Saturday night, according to local authorities Sunday.
The deadly accident involving three vehicles took place on a road in the Ogere town of Ogun Saturday night, leaving 11 persons dead and seven more injured, Ahmed Umar, head of the Federal Road Safety Corps in Ogun, told reporters in Abeokuta, the state capital.
Umar blamed speeding for the collisions between two buses and a car and warned motorists against violating traffic rules.
