Rugby Cranes are poised for action ahead of Africa Tier 1B Tournament

Odongo said at a press briefing at Silver Springs Hotels in Kampala that the Cranes have trained hard enough and will give everything against the Ivorians.

?Today the boys are prepared,? Odongo stated. ?We have gelled well and we are taking this game as a final . We are very aware of the task ahead of us. But now the focus is on the Sunday game, which is a final to us and every player is ready to give 100 percent,? Odongo added.

He added that last year?s 22-19 defeat in the Confederation of Africa tournament to Ivory Coast will not affect them on Sunday.

?We have improved our discipline and we are not conceding penalties as before,? the front row player explained.

Uganda needs to win all its games against Ivory Coast, Mauritius and Botswana to win the tournament.

Meanwhile, Silver Springs Hotel will accommodate and feed all the 6 teams for the entire tournament.

?We have always supported sports and will continue to do so,?Zedrick Egesa, Operations Manager Silver Springs Hotel explained.

The Cranes checked in on Thursday while other teams including Senegal, Madagascar, Ivory Coast, Botswana and Mauritius will join later as they arrive.
