Kenyan authorities on Saturday deported a Rwanda national alleged drug trafficker wanted by Interpol (International Criminal Police Organization) to his home country, police source revealed in Kigali.
Kenyan police handed over the suspect to the Rwandan authorities on Saturday at Kigali international airport. The arrested suspect was accused of being involved in drug trafficking with two other people who were recently arrested while in transit in Kigali from Brazil.
The deported Rwandan is Janvier Ndisabiye, 37, who is member of a criminal band that was trying to export cocaine from latin America via African cities and supplies it to several European based drug cartels, the Rwandan Police Spokesperson Celestin Twahirwa told reporters in Kigali.
Twahirwa also disclosed that Kigali airport security agents have clamped down on narcotics whereby 2 people suspected to be members of the same gang have been arrested in November 2014 while carrying 7.4 kilograms of cocaine drugs that was smuggled in from Brazil. Enditem
