Accra Hearts of Oak midfielder, Salifu Ibrahim has been declared fit by the club’s doctors after he picked up an injury in the Confederation of African Football (CAF) Confederation Cup first leg encounter against Algerian Side JS Saoura.

Salifu Ibrahim overstretched the groin ligament and had to be substituted by Coach Samuel Boadu in the 49th minute of the game.

The left-footed player was solid in last Sunday’s game after he managed to score an opener to put Accra Hearts of Oak ahead of visitors JS Saoura before picking up the injury.

In a club statement released on Tuesday, it said the midfielder is fit and currently with the team preparing for the return leg encounter with JS Saoura on Sunday.

The team would depart to Algeria in the coming days hoping to qualify to the group stages of the Confederation of Africa Football (CAF) Confederations Cup.

In other related development, Gladson Awako is expected to make the trip to Algeria as he is set to make his first debut for Hearts having signed for them two months ago.
