Hajia Mrs Samira Bawumia, the Second Lady of Ghana, is renowned for her dedication to maternal health.

She has extended her support by donating essential medical supplies to health facilities in the Nkwanta North and Biakoye districts of the Oti Region.

The donation facilitated through the Samira Empowerment and Humanitarian Projects (SEHP), aims to bolster healthcare services and advance universal health coverage for women and children across Ghana.

At the Worawora government hospital and health centres in the Biakoye district, Mrs Samira Bawumia provided a comprehensive array of medical items, including medical beds with mattresses, digital infrared thermometers, face masks, gloves, syringes, surgical sets, catheters, and more.

Similarly, at the Damanko health centre and CHPS compound in Nkwanta North district, the Second Lady delivered crucial supplies such as medical apparel, vital signs monitors, surgical emergency sets, and sterilization tools.

This charitable initiative underscores Mrs Samira Bawumia’s ongoing commitment to enhancing healthcare infrastructure and services in underserved regions. Notably, her efforts parallel previous contributions in 2019 when she donated medical equipment valued at approximately 500,000 Cedis to health facilities in the same districts.

SEHP, under Mrs Samira Bawumia’s stewardship, continues to play a pivotal role in improving the lives of marginalized communities in Ghana. It focuses on women, children, and youth through various empowerment and humanitarian initiatives.
