Ghanaian youth international Samuel Owusu struck the opening goal for K Radnik Surdulica as the lowly-rated side surprised themselves with an unfancied 3-2 away triumph over Vojvodina on Friday night.
The 19-year-old former Sogakope Red Bulls midfielder crashed the back of the net with a incisive effort in the 22nd minute to cancel out a Lazar Zlicic opener for the host.
Lazar had fired Vojvodina into the lead in the 20th minute but Owusu used only two minutes to equalise for the visitors.
Surdulica returned from the break to take advantage of Vojvodina’s numerical disadvantage after they were reduced to ten men to go 3-1 up before the host pulled a goal back late in the game.
Owusu, who scored last week in the Serbian top-flight for Surdulica, has now netted thrice in the season.
He is one of the 8 Ghanaian internationals playing in the top two divisions in Serbian football.
