Sarkodie’s highly anticipated performance at the Station Afrique event in Paris, scheduled for Friday, August 9, has been abruptly cancelled due to a contractual dispute.
EaglePlug, the international engagements agency representing the Ghanaian rapper, announced the cancellation on the event day.
The agency explained that the decision was necessitated by the event organizers’ failure to fulfil the contractual obligations agreed upon two months prior.
Despite EaglePlug’s efforts to ensure that Sarkodie could perform, the event management did not meet the required conditions, leading to the last-minute cancellation.
EaglePlug expressed regret over the situation, noting that they had tried to resolve the issues before arriving in Paris.
“EaglePlug, in good faith, took every possible step to ensure that Sarkodie and his team could travel to Paris with the expectation that all contractual issues would be resolved.
Unfortunately, the situation remained unchanged despite repeated assurances,” the agency stated.
In their statement, EaglePlug apologized to Sarkodie’s fans for the inconvenience and assured them that they are committed to rescheduling the performance under improved conditions and fully adhering to the contract.
