School Environment Should Not Intimidating-DCE


The District Chief Executive for Asante-Akim South, Mr De-graft Fokuo, has appealed to teachers to do everything to make the school environment friendly for pupils.
wpid-Pupils.jpgHe said they should make sure that the place was not intimidating to help pupils develop interest in education and retain them.
Mr Forkuo made the call during a visit to selected basic schools in the district to welcome kids enrolled into the mainstream school system for the first time.
Yawkwei D/A Primary, Juaso Ghana Muslim Mission Primary, Juaso Methodist Primary, Juaso Seventh Day Adventist (SDA) Primary and Juaso Presbyterian Primary, were among schools he visited.
Accompanying him were the District Director of Education, Mr Ignatius Mwinbe Ere-Der and other senior officers of the Education Directorate.
The DCE advised the pupils to respect their teachers and to be serious with their studies.
He reminded them to pay particular attention to personal hygiene and environmental sanitation to prevent disease.
