Seek God’s intervention in overcoming worldly addictions – Pastor Kowfie

Christians have been urged to seek God revival and interventions to overcome the power of negative addiction.

Reverend Isaac Kwofie, Cape Coast Resident Pastor of Action Chapel International said the joy of worldly things will soon fade away.

“leaving a person still in a lack of a true and complete fulfillment of what actually matters the most, this is what the wrong addiction is capable of” he added.

He was preaching on the theme: The Power of Addiction, at a Sunday congregational church service.

In the natural state of being, he noted that, Christians could become addicted to many things that they may enjoy doing, such as excessive gossips, eating habits, social media, sex, alcohol and drugs.

The Resident Pastor said there was no completeness or wholeness in none of these things to bring about any empowerment in the walk with Christ.

“The word of God is one of the most important and fulfilling addictions we need which would bring forth life, salvation, joy, peace, and a sound mind, along with many other things”

He challenged all to denounce every unrighteous way and take claim to righteousness, God’s word and be empowered.

He indicated that though learning to manage ones addiction will take effort and sacrifice, it was an important as obtaining ones salvation.

He said the holy spirit was capable of revealing ones short comings and helping to them push towards becoming a stronger version of themselves
“May God help you to be stringer in prayer , other than gossip, be wise like an ant , spend time profitably and be manageable, don’t be a contributor to the downfall of our brethren” he further advised.
